Why are you in Wilson? What keeps you here? I came to Wilson for a job opportunity that was community-oriented. Due to the nature of my work, I wanted to live in Wilson to be a part of the community. The warm reception I received from people who welcomed me in the community and the connections I have made kept me here.
What does being a young professional mean to you? A young professional is someone who wants to meaningfully contribute to their environment.
What about this community excites you? The growth and potential! Wilson has all the parts and pieces to be the ideal community for someone who wants to live in a mid-size city.
What about this community concerns you the most? Anyone in a leadership role who is creating barriers for change.
How would you like to be involved in creating the future of Wilson? I am fortunate to be in a role where I am already involved in the future of Wilson, however, I welcome opportunities to give a voice beyond my professional expertise in issues important to me such as youth development and wellness, equity and equality, and animal care/protection.
